The dynamic leader of Habitat for Humanity will discuss the REstore program (http://www.gchfh.org/Restore/index.htm) at their offices as well as how providing affordable, sustainable housing helps end a cycle of poverty. http://www.gchfh.org Many opportunities to contribute in this worthwhile, ongoing project in Greater Cleveland will reveal themselves through this lively discussion. And if we are lucky, we may just get Jeffrey to veer off topic a bit and talk about his other life as a performance poet.

Midtown Meeting

Excellent.  I've attended some fantastic midtown brews sessions and discussed and dialogued over brews with the wonderful I-Open clan, whom I've known since 2003 and the pioneering REI days - Susan Altschuler, Betsey Merkel and Ed Morrisson are wonderful community change leaders and colleagues and I look forward to catching up with one if not all of the above.   I particularly enjoyed the session featuring the Brothers Morrisson discussing their consulting trip to Mumbai.  I have a history with Habitat for Humanity, having volunteered with the group during my freshman year (1990) at Case Western Reserve University.  I've also shared some drinks and supped with both Jeffrey and his wife Susan Miller at the beautiful Shaker home of Jeff Buster and Martha Eakin.  Needless to say we have some shared history and, I anticipate some future fortitude in our favor!

I look forward to catching this one over a brew and discussing the East Cleveland transformation many of us all have worked toward for so many years.  Peace!
