At a recent morning function, a “complimentary breakfast” was offered. 

Using the place ware and utensils offered, I served myself coffee and an English muffin. 

When I went to get up from the table, I looked down and saw the residuals in the photo.

Scary, actually.  

I wondered: is there  more BTU energy in the packaging waste than in what I ingested?

Then I shoveled it all into the trash. 

Not to worry, I thought,  There’ll always be more where that came from tomorrow morning.
