Our colleagues at Cleveland State are presenting an important forum on the importance of diversity to student outcomes.

Research suggests that students who attend schools with socially
and economically diverse student bodies do better academically. The
discussion will focus on magnet schools and other strategies to
diversify and economically integrate schools.

Four panelists will share their perspectives for this discussion:
Dr. John Gilbert, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at North Carolina State University
Ed Linehan, Director of School Choice at Hartford, Connecticut
Joseph V. Regano, Superintendent of the Solon City School District
Barbara Walton, Principal of the Cleveland School of the Arts.
Moderator: Charlise L. Lyles, Editor of Catalyst Cleveland magazine
